To me this is the perfect combination of peaceful, soothing colors and intriguing abstract subject matter. The cool blue sky and golden mountainous backdrop create a comfortable Summer's evening aura, while the tall, narrow, red-topped trees (possibly inspired by the vibrant red birch trees) add an air of whimsical fantasy and wonder, as they reach impossibly high into the sky and seem to float, with their fine trunks disappearing into the reflection of the water below.
